Philips Metal Industries is a certified company that produces and delivers high quality stainless steel 316L heat exchanger tubes for its customers. The fabrication of heat exchanger tubes requires the use of several grades of steel. The standard molybdenum grade for austenitic stainless steels is 316L. Compared to other SS grades 304, the addition of molybdenum in 316 provides general resistance. It is very resistant to corrosive conditions, pitting in chloride-containing settings, and crevice corrosion.
Heat exchanger tubes made of stainless steel have a cylinder form and are used to transfer heat between two fluids. These tubes are utilized in many different industries, including HVAC systems, chemical processing, food & beverage, and oil and gas. 316, 316L, and 304H grade stainless steel heat exchanger tubes, among others. These tubes are long-lasting, durable, and have outstanding oxidation resistance. The design of heat exchanger tubes can be welded or seamless. SS Heat Exchanger Tubes are used in industrial applications to maintain temperature regulation.
